Hotmail and Outlook

Just a quickie.

I have set up Outlook 2003 to access and download my hotmail messages. Ive scheduled it to send and recieve periodically, but so far, although I know I have new mail in the hotmail inbox (MSN says so) it never actally appears in my outlook inbox till I manually send and recieve. Gmail - no problem.

Anyone else use outlook and hotmail have problems like this? Ive not researched it as yet, but thought Id ask in case anyone knows offhand..

This evening I noticed that one email had arrived through hotmail, into my Outlook inbox. Could just be Im too impatient I guess, although Im not convinced its working properly yet.

I've always found Hotmail very slow at receiving/forwarding emails, gmail is the way forward imo.

I am tempted to set up a second Gmail account for my work/contracting stuff actually, it seems more reliable for what I am wanting it to do than Hotmail, it works great with outlook.
