got my self a dvd recorder that plays divx format any one know what i can use to burn films in divx format (i mean the backups i have on my pc that are divx format)

Just any old CD burning application should do it. My DVD player plays DivX/XviD and I just burn them as a standard data disc and it reads them straight from that. -
You may need to 'unpack' them first (remove b-frames). Otherwise you'll experince stuttering, freezes and the like.
MpegModifier will do the trick.Comment

some of my div x movies dont have sound so i jus download a patch for it. But if i burn that movie to disc to play on a dvd player capable of playing divx, will it still have sound? there is no way of uploading a codec to that.
