I was thinking of getting a NTSC DC and using it for my JAP games. However, I don't really want to be messing around with step down transformers and the like, so I was just wondering if I can swap it with a power suppy from a PAL DC unit, and if so, will it need any alterations to the main board or laser?

Its a straight swap iirc, the power supply is seperate from the main board. -
Yeah, that's what I assumed too, but I wanted to make sure there wasn't anything (circuit etc.) on the mainboard governing what power supply could be used.

The jp dc I bought on the forum had a pal psu fitted. It's just a straight swap. Same with Playstation and SaturnComment
