Dreamcast Karaoke Unit - Translation? Help?

Just got a DC karaoke unit - how the heck do I get any songs going on it?

The book that comes with it has tonnes of songs with numbered codes, but none of them seem to do anything. Are they on the disk or were they downloadable?

Anyone got any clue? I bought it more for collections sake, but it would be cool to have a go...
