GBA Afterburner

I was looking for a GBA Afterburner but they seem to be scarce right now. Anyone know where I could still get one?

Your only way would be to post wanted listings on ALL the gaming forums you can find. I wanted one a while back and had no joy at all - it's just pot luck whether you put a request up and someone who has one stumbles across it. If you offer reasonable money then you should be able to get the owner to sell, it's just a matter of finding the owner in the first place that's hard.

Tbh your be better of selling your gba & putting the money you get for that with the money youd spend on an afterburner and buying a gba sp. If your hearts set on a afterburner try some of the hong kong based import stores. I remember one of them had them instock maybe 6 months ago, play asia i think? Have you tried ebay?

Though I enjoyed my GBA and the afterburner was a great addon, why wouldn't you want a SP? Just curious, size reasons?

there are a few GBA's with afterburner fitted in them, for sale on ebay.. but like everyone else says, you may as well get a SP.. plenty of those knocking around and are infinately better IMO

I just got one on ebay myself, i find the triggers too fiddlly for my long "banana hands" so i didnt want to get another sp

I had a GBA modded (by myself) with an afterburner. sure it's great addon. unfortunately, tha GBA had a premature end falling off the bed. now I have a GBA SP (and a unmodded GBA used just to play PacMan VS with friends). if properly installed, the afterburner has nothing less than SP, and for some (including me), the grip on the old model is better.

I quite agree, preferred GBA with Afterburner over GBA SP size and comfort wise, sold mine for about ?20 to someone on here 12 months or so ago, big mistake.

Shadow_Zero why not get a DS ? top notch screen(s) and more comfy to hold (for some)

Like chojin and Gabbi said, the GBA lies better in my hands, and I have pretty big hands with long fingers. Especially the long fingers is quite annoying with the L & R button on the SP (as well as on a Gamecube controller). I do have a SP as well, but I have semi-interest in tweaking, so tweaking my GBA with a Afterburner is something I'd like to give a try I also read it assumably gives better result than the SP light, but I don't know that. And for the multiplayer gaming I'd like to have my GBA available and without light the thing really is a bug. And perhaps take it along with long travels since I can switch batteries (and don't have to bring along my more expensive SP, though a GBA + Afterburner might be even more expensive ). So that's about my story. I checked every Hong Kong online store as well as eBay, but I can't find them so far

@DavidHolliss: I have quite a few multiplayer games for the GBA as well as the Gamecube, so that's the reason to tune (and not dump) my good 'ol GBA My girlfriend has a DS, maybe I'll pick one up some day, but I'm actually quite content with the GBA/SP (I kinda passed my stage of 'want every new and state of the art!' ) and, unfortunately, don't have that much time for gaming anymore. But I always like to organise (and participate in) multiplayer parties with friends
