Modded X-Box and avi. file q's.

Do other people like me sometimes get an avi file that plays only the sound on thier modded X-Box,and no vision?

Make sure you have the latest version of Xbox Media Center on your xbox. It's probably just the case of your codecs are out of date

I tried the same files last night and watched them in Media Center rather than player and they ran fine.

Why are there two of them?

Player was a much older version from (i think) a few years back. Media Center was a complete rewrite of it, so odds are the version you have contains more up to date codecs.

Yeah, its well old. I had the same problem as you a while ago, upgraded to center and it plays absolutely everything i throw at it now.
