How do you remove the screen on a Gameboy Advance?

I've just purchased a afterburner modded GBA to play the rather excellent astro boy on and unfortunatly whoever modded it managed to trap absolutly loads of dust under the screen which does interfere with playing somewhat. How do i go about removing the screen to give it a wipe?

search for "afterburner" on www.lik-sang.com they (used to) have a link to instructions on how to fit an afterburner on the product page, should help you out.

get a flat-head screwdriver and poke a corner of the screen to lift it off. it's got double-sided tape or some other adhesive so be careful. also, DON'T succumb to the temptation of cleaning the afterburner itself! you'll be sorry!

i did that and ended up removing the afterburner and fitting another one (compressed air can is a must)

when i did that, i also bought one of these replacement screens:

they look identical to the original ones and are better than simply cleaning your screen (they come with backing plastic on front and back and you can leave the front one on for a while if you want)
