I can't say I've noticed a difference, but then I haven't studied them both in any great detail.
I've never noticed this on mine, but there is one thing that's better on my wired controller compared to my wireless one; the d-pad is much better on the wired one and works how you expect. Up and right on the wireless one are not very responsive and don't feel very positive when you press those directions.

The wireless controller came with the Premium Pack and I bought the wired one separately.

The only bad thing about wireless pads is that I keep bloody losing them when I either go to the toilet or answer my door.

i noticed that too...on elder scrolls when you choose to have an item on a diagonal it would'nt be very responsive when choosing it

You can just buy a USB hub and hook up four controllers surely?

I did it to hook up my cooling fan, play and charge, keyboard and mouse.

Although I can't be certain it will work for four wired controllers.

Yeah, that is a slight annoyance. I just limit myself to four spells/items and jump into the menu when I need something less common.

A USB hub (?10 or so) will work on the 360 if you want to use four wired controllers and are one of the people who still plays split-screen multiplayer (honestly! ) but seriously give the wireless ones a try. They work just as well and you can be even more lazy by turning on the console without having to go over to it, which might just be the best feature ever included in a new console.

I'm hearing you there, I only wish I didn't have to get off my idle ass to change the discs over.

that's prolly the next Xbox's big feature storin all the software on a huge 10 terrabyte hard drive or something. I know I love that with my modded Xbox, all my discs sit safely on a shelf with the contents on the HDD meanin I jus do a soft reset an change games via a menu

On my wired pad, the Dpad is less responsive, Through the PC playing FF Xi and needing to shufle through menu options I had problems, pushing left was a problem for me.

@davefallows, maybe they should have a whistle locator in the wireless pads like them old keyrings :P
