BT Broadband...silly question...

So I've ordered Broadband from BT - due to be activated mid August. Now the page I just looked at said the exchange will "soon be updated" so does this mean that it may well be working before mid august and that that date is a rough figure ?? Is it worth me giving it a little try now ?? Anyone ever had it activated early ??

Take a look at the status of your local exchange here:

Activated means ADSL is available, triggered means enough people have registered their interest in getting ADSL. Once the 'trigger level' is reached, BT are supposed to ADSL activate the exchange. I imagine yours has reached its trigger level and is about to be activated.

Awesome page thanks. My exchange is "green".....it's been ADSL enabled. I wonder if I could connect ?? Wonder if it's worth buying a cable to my xb to the line to see
