    Which 360 online FPS?

I'm on the brink of getting an Xbox360 (next week) and I am undecided on which FPS game I should get to play online with it (from my bed ).

    G.R.A.W, Battlefield 2: MC or CoD 2?

Not a lot to choose from, I know.

My online FPS background: I mostly play online FPS games on my PC such as Battlefield 1942/2 and Counterstrike Source.

I played BF:MC on PS2 (Single Player only) and thought it was not very good, I imagine the online aspect to be alot different and more enjoyable, but more arcadey than the PC versions.

    Oh decisions...

any feeback on experiences you 360 online FPS'ers would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

For me it has to be COD2, I have that and GRAW and Live COD2 is one of the best things ever. The off line game of COD2 is also a really enjoyable experience, especially on veteran.

I say Call of Duty 2, great single player with just as good online. However both Battlefield and G.R.A.W are awesome so it is a tough choice.

        Tough indeeed

Is G.R.A.W more of a SOCOM type game? Kinda looks like it in screenshots i.e. 3rd person perspective.

CoD 2 gets the most play from me at the moment, it doesn't have much depth but the maps are really good and there are some great fast paced game modes.

I haven't really gotten into GRAW vs yet, the co-op is great although there are only 4 maps available so far. Come on ubisoft sort it out.

BF:MC its pretty much the same as the xbox version and I refuse to pay almost twice as much for it. It's also supposed to be missing much of the team work that makes PC BF special , but apparently still fun in a quake way.

Don't forget to get Halo 2 if you haven't played it to death already. Looks are a little dated, but it still has the best live implementation there is. Better still, some shops are selling copies for only slightly more than the price of a beer.

COD2 if you're playing with friends, Battlefield 2 if you're going to be spending more time on public servers.

Don't be afraid to try PDZ, there's plenty of fun to be had, even if it's not as groundbreaking as you would expect.

So far, my mind is set on GRAW and CoD2 both. Will maybe get PDZ later on as I did like the original on N64.

Do you reckon Valve will ever do Counterstrike:Source for 360? That'd be ace.

It wouldn't surprise me at all and I'd probably buy it, but by the time Counter-Strike came out on Xbox it was years old so don't count on it before 2010.

                    COD2 for sure.

Then again I bought both GRAW and COD2 from PlayAsia combined for cheap... maybe buy both!

Do US imports work on PAL 360?

if they are non EA or 2K6 games. They are likely to work. ie Ridge Racer 6, Dead or Alive 4 or Ubisoft games. Check out VG+ blog which will have some information.

I'd go for Call of Duty 2 as well. Fantastic offline and online, and I think the easiest of any game mentioned here to get into.

I thought Ghost Recon was quite good, but it didn't grab me as much as it has a lot of other people. Didn't really enjoy playing it online very much.

The only other FPS I have is Perfect Dark Zero, but I've only had that a few days and haven't had a chance to play it properly yet. Wouldn't place it above COD2 from what I've played of it so far though.

As someone else mentioned, you can get very cheap Asian versions of games from Play Asia. You could grab region free versions of GRAW and COD2 for under ?50 delivered. Or, at least, you could if they currently had GRAW in stock But you could still get COD2 for about ?24.

Edit: There's also Far Cry Instincts Predator as well, but no idea how good or bad it is. Again, region free from Play Asia for about ?24.

Play-Asia's the best place to check whether games are multiregion. All their 360 games have a table listing which console regions they work on.

CoD2 is superb. I was a huge fan of the PC original so I was etra glad when they semi-fixed the thing. Great maps, great weapons and great control
