    DS Lite Vibration Cartridge

Nintendo Japan has just recently released the DS Lite Vibration Cartridge for the Japanese DS Lite as seen here...
DS Lite Vibration Cartridge for Nintendo DS LiteProvides vibration to your Nintendo DS™ Lite handheldSupported by various games, such as Mario & Luigi RPG 2, Metroid Pinball, Shunkan Puzz Loop and othersThis model is only suitable for the new Nintendo DS Lite™ modelOfficial productBack in the Nintendo64™ or Dreamcast™ times, video game hardware manufacturers did not ship their gaming controllers with standard vibration function, but released separate hardware addons (rumble pak), such as the Nintendo64™ Jolt Pack or Dreamcast™ Puru Puru Pack. Nintendo has now reinvented this accessory for their Nintendo DS™ Lite system. Attached to your Nintendo DS™ Lite handheld, ...

Is this the same as the rumble pak that I have got with my US Metroid Pinball for the DS Lite?
It certainly looks a little smaller but I need to know for sure as I hate my rumble pak sticking out of my DS Lite!

Looks like a new specific Lite one to me, same thing as before.

Just paid for mine. Gonna shoe-horn the insides into the white cart thingy.

I hope some enterprising hackers (or even Nintendo...doubtful) come up with a GBA flash cart in the smaller cart like that. I'd love to be able to stick my GBA games in the Lite without it sticking out like a growth. Won't help with this one of course:

The vibration = The most pointless invention in videogames history. IMO of course.

I find it's one of those things that you don't notice until it's not there. Some games like Rockstar Table Tennis use it in a really clever way that wouldn't be as intuitive without it, and in action games with gunfire and explosions I think it's more important to immersion than most people give it credit for.

Where did you get it from? You know it's only about a fiver from Japan, don't you?

I ordered it from the independent store that was my local when I were a lad. They no longer do imports, but boss man always accomodates me. I paid ?12 all in. Of course I don't have it yet, but I'm expecting a call soon.

Just play Metroid Prime Pinball. It feels much closer to the real thing with the rumble pak.

Mine arrived today. It came still in the Nintendo shipping box, which is pretty cool in itself. Looks nice and all, although I shall deffo be transferring the insides into the white cart port cover thingy.
All I need now is an actual DS game so that I can try it out ?_?
What games are compatible with it other than Metroid Pinball?
