HD tv advice

Help needed

After getting a 42" HD TV for the front room and before the world cup.
Dont' really wanna spend too much but just seeing if u guys had any good ideas??
what's the deal with DLP's? they seem cheap but are they crap??
online or instore? any advice wold be greatly appreciated
Was gnna post in the section under movies tv's etc but there was so many posts on there i didn't think anyone would reply

My only advice would be to at least try it out instore and even take hardware down to try with it if your spending a fair bit of dough on one.
