Have I won this PS3 related bet?

My mate bet me ?50 a few months back,

he said that PS3 will play EVERY Playstation game EVER (psone and pstwo) REGARDLESS of region.

I think that there has be some games that won't work, my theroy been that even differerny models of Playstaion2 have some games that didn't work.

Can anyone tell me of any Playstation 1 or 2 games that didn't work on the PSTwo?

I also believe that although the PS3 will be multi region, I don't think that will include original PSOne and Playstation2 games.

The Stylish Mahjong: Will sometimes freeze at the save screen once you've changed the options

Racing Battle C1 Grand Prix: sound effects will sometimes replay endlessly when you hit walls and rails

F1 2001: will sometimes freeze after the title logo

F1 2002: will sometimes freeze after title logo when game is started up with GT-FORCE controller attached. If GT-FORCE is not attached, works fine.

Hitman Contract: takes extended time to create save file

Tekken 5: When selecting "Tekken 3" from Arcade History, the game will sometimes freeze following the save screen.

Also you could argue that as the PS3 has no controller ports , you can't play any accessory based PS2/PS1 games

Minor thing I noticed, the Dead or Alive demo for PS1 flickers like hell (would cause seizures) on a PS2 however the final release version does not.

MGS VR missions will not work on a PS2 either.

Also there are rumours that the backwards compatibility on the PS3 will be software-based instead of sticking a PS1/PS2 chip in there, and we know how great that's been on the 360. If they do that I'd be amazed if they have it even at 50% compatibility at launch.
