Issues with Play-Asia

Ok, here's the situation. I place an order for hitman blood money on the 360 for ?23 on friday 9th and I'm told that the order should be sent out within 24 hours. It is now Sunday 11th and I'm still at "order recieved" which means they are still checking my credit card The game has since gone out of stock and I'm getting concerned that they will eventually cancel my order.

Has anyone else had a similar encounter, or does the company not operate at weekends?

In my experience anything that is listed as being posted within 24 hours, will not be sent until the day after, no matter what time you ordered it. I've also never had an order posted on a saturday, but have had an email replied to on a sunday, so might be worthwhile contacting them to see whats going on, just in case.

I ordered hitman on the 30th may and mine was dispatched on the 11th june so they have had them in then

First of Play-Asia is extremely reliable! But be aware that they say "usually ships within 24hours". It's not a promise to you that they will actually do so within that timeframe - it actually just means that according to their computer they have the item in stock and they expect to be able to ship it on the next business day.

I just checked the website and now it says an estimated 1 to 2 weeks for each version of Hitman. So I'm guessing that their computer-stocklevels didn't accurately held up against the physical stock levels. You see, stock gets damaged, misplaced, stolen, ect without them knowing about it untill someone orders the given product.

Anyway, I'm sure that PA are trying to secure another shipment of Hitman from their distributer (for you). I know it sucks but try to be patient.

I've never had any issues with PA. Considering they're shipping stuff from the other side of the world, they usually get things to me pretty swiftly.

In fact I've ordered things from Amazon UK that have arrived slower.

Along similar lines, does anybody know what "preparing order" actually means on Play Asia? I've had an order that's been in that state since the 24th of May, and the estimated shipping date is still down as the 25th.

I had them pull the preparing order trick on me when i preordered my gb micro. They had none in stock & used the preparing order trick to stop me cancelling easily.

I wanted to cancel but when they change the status to preparing order you can no longer cancel it yourself as the option dissappears. You then have to start messing round emailing them.
