Super 32X compatible with MD1 right?

I just bought a brand new one for like ?40, but I failed to check this. It only shows a MD2 on the box.

*EDIT* I just read the box and it clearly states MD1.

Does it use the same PSU as a MD2? Also what RGB lead, MD2 aswell? It's coming with JPN PSU and AV cable. I want to buy UK versions to save from stepdowns and composite picture.

Yep, MD2 Scart and MD2 PSU.

Remember the sound will be in mono using an MD1, though you can get stereo sound from the MD1 headphones port if you can wire that into your setup somehow.

I have a cable that goes from the MD1 headphone jack into the "mixing" jack on the MCD1. Can I use the phono outs on the MCD to achieve stereo, or do I have to change my setup? It seems a bit confusing really.

You could use the output on the MCD if you wanted. I see no reason why it would not work anyway.

How about a 3.5 splitter in the "mixing" jack? 1 cable would run from the MD1 into it, and then 1 would run out of it into the modded RGB lead.

*edit* scrap that idea. The 32x uses the MD2 RGB cable so it wouldn't work. I guess I'll have to feck about with it once it arrives.

You could mod the cable to take sound from the MCD phono out instead of the 32X, if you really want the sound running through your TV.

Do you have the pass-through cable that joins the MD to the 32x? I'm guessing it wouldn't work otherwise, so you prolly do.
