Step Downs definative answers please

Yes I know this has been asked before but when i follow the link from the info page they dont have any.

So where is the best place to but a good 240-110 step down for a saturn and N64 as i dont feel confident buying one off ebay as they look a bit dodgy lol

and please dont ridicule me or have a go for this post as ive seen some people get its a simple question from someone who doesn't know and wants to just play crazy jap import games like the rest of you

You'll only need a 100W job for both, so no need to spend much

so can i get a single unit that does both or should i just get one which i can switch between them, not as though its that much hassle to change a cable over is it

You'll just need the one!! It's just a case of unplugging /plugging a power cable in the same way as you would with a wall socket.

As Mayhem says 100w will more than do you unless you're considering buying any newer Jap/ US consoles in the near future. If you are a 150w step-down will be fine for a Cube, PS2 or Xbox & probably won't cost much more then a 100w unit.


Edit: Of the Eurobatteries step-downs either of the 1st 2 would be fine for what you need. I'd probably go for the 2nd (very similar to the one I use) as it'll give you a degree of future proofing (150w vs. 85w) & is slightly cheaper.

No need for step down for your N64....you just need a UK power supply. Have a spare one you can have for the price of postage if you need one
