    Wireless Network problems

Our wireless network appears to have died. The router's wired connections still work fine, the wireless light is still on and the diagnostic finds no problems yet the laptop can't even find the router. Tried a USB adapter as well so it's not the network card on that.
Could it be that the router is nackered?
The only thing I can think of that I've fiddled with since the last time the wireless was used was Media Center on the PC as I was trying to get "My Pictures" up on the 360. Turns out I had the folder set to private in the end but can anyone think of anything network related I could've changed whilst fiddling that's affected the router?

Could be the router. Use a cable to connect to 192.168.0.1 and make sure wireless is on and the net name is broadcasted.

Not sure what you mean but the wired connections work fine and everything seems to be set up right in the voyager menus.

Somewhere in the settings will be someting along the lines of "broadcast SSID", this should be on ideally. Thats what djjimbob is on aboot.

You could also try doing a factory reset and starting from scratch, which isn't fun, but it will at least give you a fresh start and a pretty good indication of whether the wireless part is fooked or not.

Yeah I would go with the SSID as well. Had this happen a couple of time's where the connection gets wiped from the laptop, and the network cannot be found again until the SSID is set to broadcast, and you plumb the correct security codes back in.

Best as others have set to make a wired connection to the router and access the admin module which is usually on a 192.168.0.? ip address and set the SSID to broadcast. Personally would switch it off again once all your kit is reconnected, as I prefer others not to be able to find my network !
