Table Tennis NTSC/J??

I have been trying to find Table Tennis on NTSC/J format but cannot find it anywhere, tried the normals like playasia etc?

Does anyone know where I can get this from??

Nowhere at the moment, it hasn't been released in Japan or Asia yet, as far as I know.

It's not even planned for a Japanese release at the moment, but according to VG+ it's region free.

Take Two don't have a Japanese publishing arm. Capcom have released a few of their games such as GTA over there in the past

There is a ton of confusion at the moment about whether some 360 games are region free or not.

Whilst the US version of Table Tennis works on a PAL console (& vice versa) unfortunately neither version seems to work on a Japanese 360:

I'd guess VG+ tested the US version on a PAL 360 and as it worked ok they (wrongly) concluded it was region free

OK, that's weird. Probably to do with licencing since the UK and US versions are both published by Take Two but they don't want to cannibalise sales for a potential Japanese publisher. I'm sure it'll come out there eventually, though.

Must admit this is why I asked the question, bought an XBOX 360 from Hong Kong thinking everything would be fine, bought Table Tennis in UK, "wrong region"!!



Wish it was as simple as the old Playstation Days! buy NTSC to PAL convertor sorted!! haha! Never as simple as it used to be. No good for me as I am no techy!!

Oh well! that'll teach me to go for the cheaper option!!

Eh? Region protection was much stricter enforced on the PlaySation, there was no region free mode on the PlayStation at all.

I think by "NTSC to PAL" convertor he means CHIPPING IT LIKE A DIRTY PIRATE DOG

TBH, I think that the regionfree thread needs to be overhauled to reflect this.

If someone posts saying "PAL copy of game 'X' works on my US console", then the list needs to reflect only this information until others can confirm different combinations. This is becoming very common now with games being 'dual-region', rather than 'region free'. The PS3 will be much the same issue I'd imagine.
