Hi all,
Have real bugger of a problem.
I've connected two PCs up via an ADSL wireless router to share the net/files etc. with a little success. One PC is running XP PRO the other XP Home.
The XP Pro PC recognises the network and the workgroup I have set up and can access the the XP home machines shared folder.
The problem is trying to get the XP Pro machine to share folders on the Home machine.
The XP Home machine recognises the network, and can ping it, and recognises the other computer (the XP Pro machine) but will not access it's shared folder an error message appears thus ' You may not have permission to access this network resource. The network path was not found'.
Ok I thought so I tried deactivating firewalls, configuring security and all manner of things but to no end. I even got a friend of mine who is a programmer in to take a look, and he was baffled.
Is there anyone here that can help??? All i want to do is share a few files and the Xp Pro's printer, but seems like a nightmare.
Thanks all
