Strange goings on :/

Had some strange pc issues over past week, windows now takes considerably longer (very very considerably longer) to startup, just before it reaches the logon screen it will display a garbled sort of screen of multicoloured graphics then switch back to normal - strange.

Anyway once getting into windows, it seems that all my ram is being used up, everythings clunky and slugish, although ive spent days trying to find why this is, and no joy, everything seems legit and fine, and ram cheeking progs report no errors etc, ran anti spyware, ran anti virus etc, either way - strange.

And to top it off, after an hour or so of gaming (which is sluggish etc as above issue) i crash to a blue screen, now this is another strange thing, its not a windows blue screen, its just a 'screen of darkish colour blue'.

Its really starting to tick me off to say the least, so any point in the right direction would be much appreciated, thanks!

I had same issue a few weeks back, exactly as you described it.
RAM timings were set to high for my board/RAM. In your motherboard, set the RAM presets to Stable (or similar) rather than Aggressive/Turbo. Solved it for me.

Already set to defaults im afraid, never been one for the overclocking
