Hi,
I've got a problem with transferring large amounts of data to/from external HDDs/MP3 players. I primarily use a 20GB IBM external HDD and a 20GB Sony NW-HD5 MP3 player, but have also experienced this problem with a 250GB Lacie HDD and various iPod's, so I'm pretty sure the problem is to do with my machine, and not the devices I'm using.
It's an AN8 Ultra, with an Athlon 64 X2 4200+, 1GB of Crucial, a 160GB Seagate SATA HDD, in an Antec Sonata II case with a 450W PSU.
For small file transfers I don't experience any issues, it's only when it's a large file, or a large collection of files.
Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated, this has been bugging me for a while and I've run out of ideas.
Thanks!
George
EDIT -> Problem (kinda) solved. It was an issue with the mobo and dual core processors, ABIT have recognised the issue but not done anything about it.
