Playasia retro PRE-OWNED: Should I be worried?

I've used play-asia a number of times before. But Ive never bought a pre-owned item from them. I'm currently considering a preowned N64 and SFC game. Neither are particularly cheap.

With no photos of their preowned items, and no condition evaluation of any kind - I fear my purchase might be somewhat of a 'lucky dip'.

Who here has bought pre-owned from playasia? (cardboard box items in particular)

Were you happy with the condition?

Anyone got a horror story? A SFC game that was discoloured & rusty? A box that stank like stale cigars? (both have happned to me curtesy of ebay sellers)

BTW - I asked them for a photo or description and they said it wasnt possible.

    Thanks

Games in CD cases generally travel better. But that is reassuring. Thanks

I've only had a few DC bits from their pre-owned section - all have been good-great condition and had spinecards.

I bought a used (resealed) copy of Radiant Silvergun from them a couple of years back. Had they not stated it was used I'd have assumed it was brand new as it was in perfect 'as new' condition.

Every pre-owned game i've had from Play Asia has been of quite a high standard and every one I've had has been complete with extras. I was astounded by the quality of the Langrisser Tribute Boxset I bought from there before Christmas and even at the reduced price it was complete.

I'd say they do have a good set of pre-owned standards myself, but it can be luck and a bit risky some times wherever you go for pre-owned stuff especially without photo's anyway.

Their pre-owned games are generally excellent condition, and complete. If the spine etc is missing, it will say so.

I've bought quite a few from them over the years and only been disappointed with the condition once. Most were near-mint.

Yep - even cheapass JPN Saturn dross I've bought for a few dollars a time has been minty fresh like new. Not even the whiff of cigarette smoke on the manuals.
