    360 remote control questions...

Seem to be using the 360 for dvds more than the dvd player, so I'd quite like to get a remote as for dvd playback the wireless pad is a little bit cumbersome for my wife and sometimes myself, when I just wanna go to the menu etc.

I've seen 2 for sale, the joytech (cheap) one and the official 360 universal media remote:
    http://www.play.com/Games/Xbox360/GE...e/Product.html

I was gonna go for the official one I've posted a link to...is that the best idea?

Long story short I pre-ordered a premium pack but on release day had two choices, take a core or nothing (twats).

I presume it's like a normal DVD remote, has a "menu" button etc...?

    Cheers.

If you are going to buy a remote you'd probably be better paying the little extra and getting one of the 360 compatible universal remotes from logitech

Far too expensive for a remote I'm afraid...probably gonna go for the 360 official one!

You could buy one of the mini remotes that came with the premiums. They have the basic DVD buttons you need.

Good idea actually, seems to be only missing the numbers which nobody uses anyway! My MSN kept crashing when trying to message you!

I've got one of the Logitechs which I love, but I understand that a lot of people aren't up for paying that much for a remote. That's actually ?10 or so cheaper than I paid a few months ago.

I also have one of the official remotes that came with the early premiums which I've never used but it's a nice little thing, and unless you really want the number buttons (only useful if you need to skip directly to a chapter or something) it should be fine. Dirt cheap from the looks of things, as well.
