Ghost image advise needed

Hunted high and low for an answer on this one to no avail.

I have a ghost image of my current mce set up which was made when the system was on an ide harddrive - I`m just about to upgrade to sata 2 drives - will I be able to load the image onto the new drives or do I get the joy of reinstalling the lot again?

Im guessing the images will have all your hardware configurations on them pointing towards IDE so they may not work on SATA

just try imaging it on and see if it boots, from there you could repair it.

up to you I guess. I'd imagine xp would have bare sata drivers

Just had a thought all the sata drivers that came with my motherboard were installed so it should find them I guess.
