    S-video allow progressive?

Right i just bought a brand spanking new monitor here http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna...aspx&sku=59233
It has s-video out, so i bought a new s-video cable to go along with it so my ps2 can play on it. I cant seem to find a vga cable for the ps2 anywhere, i dont know much about progressive other than the fact its better picture. Just wondering if i can get progressive through s-video on this monitor?

    cheers.

No, can't do it through S-Video. S-Video is actually one notch below RGB Scart, though still far better than Composite.

Actually, it depends on the device. If your TV has a great comb filter, composite could look better. (it's my understanding that S-Video has basically gone through the device's own comb filter - which may not be as good as the one in some TVs)
