    UK 360 Power Supply > JPN 360

    Lo' all,

I hear my UK 360 Power Supply would work fine on a Japanese 360 with no probs, say it's so please and save me the hassle of buying yet another step-down.

    Please.

Yup, I'm sure that's true, a ton of people have done it. The power supplies seem interchangable between regions.

Oh yeah, if you wanted to get an NTSC-J 360, you might wanna look at getting an Asian 360 instead. Exactly the same as the Japanese version except that it comes with a UK style power supply. No need to swap power supplies between the PAL and NTSC systems then.

Definitely no problems with it. JP system + UK PSU is the setup I have.

I'll see you on Senko no Ronde

Generally they're always interchangeable with external power supplies (360, GameCube, PStwo, handheld chargers, etc) since the supply itself will supply the machine with its standard voltage. The only time you need to worry is when the machine has its own internal power supply and just uses a standard power cable since then you can quite easily, as I'm sure people around here can tell you, plug a PSU that's made to handle 110v directly into our 240v mains. Bang.

Yup. You can basically use any power supply with any system. I.E. you could even take a UK system to Japan, use a Japanese power supply, and it'd work.

Yes, that's what it is. And no, christ! You don't use the same ones! If you just plugged the lead-end part into the Jap power supply...BAAAAAANGANDABOMMBBOOBOOM! Is what you'd get.

Senko! Arr, must get that. When is it out?

Can you buy a UK PSU direct from Microsoft? Fancy a Jap 360 but don't fancy a stepdown.

Dunno, but I got mine from ebay. Quite cheap too judging by some of the prices I've seen...

Try an Asian 360. It's basically a Japanese machine with a UK compatible power supply, so you get the benefits of a Japanese 360 without worrying about stepdowns or buying a power supply from eBay.

As far as I know, Microsoft will only send you a replacement if you already have a UK 360, I don't think they sell them.
