xbox 360 stepdown

I just received a usa xbox 360 and connected it to this stepdown

adaptor turns on but xbox doesn't what shall i do, buy new stepdown?

If any of your friends have a UK Xbox360 , then try their power supply. Hopefuly this will eliminate the possibility that your 360 is damaged.

So it has nothing to do with my stepdown? I have read that, power supply? do i have to get the xbox opened for that, whats ur aim expertking?

Seriously though. It's worth double checking that the connector on the end of the power cable going into the back of the 360 is inserted properly. It can sometimes seem like it is but isn't. You need to push it in reasonably firmly & when it's inserted fully you should hear a light 'clicking' sound & the little plastic ovals on the side of the connector will 'pop up' slightly.

ok ill check it ill be preyinggggggg, does it matter which connections i try first before turning the xbox on, like do I have to put the connections in the right order, or that doesn't matter?

No it doesn't matter what order you connect things in. As long as they're all in place before turning the power you'll hopefully (touch wood) be fine.

I bought an usa xbox 360 off ebay brand new from uk and it didnt work with this stepdown

So i want to buy it officially, not from ebay, best place to buy it (any taxes?), also will it work with my stepdown, im afraid that if i use it, it wont work again

Sorry mate what you asking??. You want to use a usa 360 in the uk yeah. Well you need a stepdown that is rated 300w or more to be on the safe side. As long as its 300w it should work fine with any stepdown. Did you plug the 360 in to a simple plug converter???. If so you may have broken your 360 mate.

I have a 300w or more stepdown as shown by the link.. the stepdown worked with my xbox but on a new xbox 360 bought from ebay, the xbox 360 didnt turn on.. did the stepdown cause the problem or was it the power supply unit?
I am afraid that if i buy a usa xbox 360 from the shop and use the stepdown that it might not work even though the stepdown is fine.. let me know

I heard the 360 actually uses 310 watts so not sure a 300 'er does it. Mine's been running off a 500 since launch and it's been fine.

My 10 pence,a bit baffled what is being asked tbh
