I assume the 16mb refers to ADSL2+ , which has a potential of 24mb. I doubt anyone will really get near 16mb never 24mb.You might even have to wait till your exchange it upgraded >< .

Still it seems a good offer any more competition the better i guess.

I'm definately interested, but i might wait a while to see how it turns it. I'm a bit worried about what the actual speeds will be, Especially when it says up to 16 meg.

I'm less than a mile away form an exchange, don't know what that means in terms of speed, but hope its good.

It's tempting, but due to my distance from the exchange I can't even get the full 2Mb from BT. I wonder if they'd let me sign up for 8Mb when I could only hit 1.5 because there's no way I could survive on a 2GB limit. The 15GB one on BT is enough to make me cautious.

Sadly i have a cable phone so can't sign up. Am getting fisted by Blueyonder at the minute, paying ?25 a month for 4mb BB, a service that's been down twice this week already. Need to switch over to BT really .

Its available to me now, the speeds they quote are up to 16MB, Ill call them tomorrow and find out the lowdown. For ?10 a month, 16MB is a superb sounding deal. Currently I am on 10MB and pay ?35.

Mine will be connectd in the next few days, I'll post my impressions when it's done. however, since it's so early I expect it'll start off great and then deteriorate as more people come on board.
              I'm going for MAX btw.

I've got the router already, it's a netgear one, and very nice looking at that. they also sell USB wi-fi adapters for ?20 each.

I'm just waiting on a MAC address from my current ISP, so I should have mine connected soonish

sounds a good deal but i cant get it as its LLU and you need easynet to have equipment in your exchange not fussed as going for be adsl 2 instead

Ive ordered the Max package, for some reason they didnt need a MAC code. A mac code is a "migratory authorization code", not a MAC address which is what the girl from NTL said it was (she got me to look on the modem for this).

They seem to only offer wireless broadband, my system is wired and I dont want to buy wireless network adaptors for each of my PCs unless I have to. I might have a ADSL router knocking about I can use fingers crossed.

The router has wired and wireless connections, so you wont have a problem. You do have to use their router though, or so I was told.

You only need a MAC code if you want to do a quick swap with no downtime, though I guess going from cable to BT line you might be OK anyway.

i phoned up NTL the other day quoting the prices Sky gave me for TV Broadband and phone package.

NTL Matched Skys offer and gave me 3 months of TV broadband and phone for 35 quid :P

Im going to try that with NTL also, but I only have broadband, I dont think they will match 10-00 per month though.

Has anyone got this on Max package yet, if so any impressions?

I called NTL to cancel, they were telling me how the maximum my BT line can support was 2MB, and that Skys speed isnt guaranteed etc. They said they would offer me my existing speed of 10MB for ?10 per month for 6 months, then review it which I admit was tempting. But for now Im carrying on with Sky ADSL, if it turns out to be **** then Ill try and get out of the contract, and cancel my NTL cancellation.

Pipex once told me my line could only support a maximum of 2Mb. Turns out that it'll do 8Mb ADSL and 20Mb ADSL2.
