    disc scratch remover

Quite a few of my 360 games have got a few heavy scratches on. I am after a disc scratch remover, to save taking it to my local game shop to get done. Any ideas where i can get one of these from

    I think Virgin sell them.

Ask Charles also, I think he even (used to?) offer a service to remove scratches on discs.

It's just a disc doctor that I use. It's only for rescuing severely battered discs that don't work any more. I wouldn't use it on anything that works properly - it makes a right mess of the surface (but it's worked on 90% of my old skipping CDs).

Some shops do a more expensive service that actually repairs CDs properly. Have a look in the back of Edge magazine.

There are a few places that do 'professional' repairs by post too. The only one I can remember offhand is:

I've got one of those Skip Doctors and it worked on a couple of CDs but I just don't trust it. It's essentially a wheel with sandpaper around the outside to take the top damaged layer off and it usually makes them workable but...it's still sandpaper on my ?50 games

Scratch Busters are meant to be decent. I know someone who's used them a few times.
