Buying an Xbox from Premodded, which chip should I use?

I'll be buying a new xbox from premodded.co.uk in a couple of weeks, problem is which one to go for. They list 3 chips X-Ecuter 2 Pro, X-Ecuter 2.1 Lite and Cheapmod, I don't know the first thing about Xbox chips so some advice would be helpful.

My main reasons for using the chip are obviously to have region free gaming, region free DVD player and the emulators are a nice touch. I don't plan on copying games to my hard drive or playing "backups".

So will a cheapmod be enough or is it worth the extra cash for an X-Ecuter 2.1 Lite?

Personally I would go for the executor line of chips. I got my xbox from these guys with the pro 2 chip installed and have to say that their service was faultless from start to finish.

I've got the 2.1 lite. Very good chip.

The Pro chip isn't the choice for someone 'new' to this game - like myself. And if you ask questions and say you have the 'Pro' card you always get some ****er replying with: "If you don't know you should have got the lite chip - Suxx0r!"

I got the 2.1 lite chip about a week ago from Premodded. Very good. No problems. And you'll want to back up your games. It's such a convenience not having to use the discs.

The cheap mod would be ok too... If you mess up with flashing etc, it is easy to replace... But in the end it's your choice.

My vote goes for the 2.1 lite

(Make sure you get a bigger HDD for all those 'h4xx0r w4r3z' and back ups!)

I don't really see the point of getting anything other than a cheapmod, why pay more then you have to for a chip? You can get pcb cheapmods for ?3 if you buy in bulk and theres not really any significant disadvantages with them, there usually flashed with the latest executor bios anyway.

Another vote here for the Cheapmod. Got mine fitted for ?30, and it does everything I need. It uses the Xecutr2 bios anyway, so there is no real difference apart from the cheapmod uses a 256k bios, whereas the X2 can in theory use a 1mb or 4 x 256k bioses, which is irrelevant as the bigger bioses don't exist.
