Valkyrie Profile for the uninitiated?

I'm intrigued by Valkyrie Profile:Lennox Lewis on the PSP, but am not much of an RPG gamer - is it a trad RPG? Random battles & such like?

I'm after something story-based, but more action-oriented than stat-crunching.

Can't say about that one mate as I don't know about it, but I did get Tales of Eternia on the PSP myself, and this is story based with sort of realtime battles. Lots of fun too - if you know Tales of Symphonia then you will get the idea!

Full voice acting too for the main cutscens which I thought was most impressive being on a handheld!

Sure I remember seeing this title on sale somewhere online too!
