Webmail not working through ADSL router ?

I have one of these -

    Dynamode R-ADSL-C4WEG 54Mbps Wireless ADSL2+ Modem/Router/Switch/Firewall (NW-000-DN)

Basically any webmail ( Hotmail, Yahoo etc ) does not work through it. You get the login page, input user credentials and press login, the page refreshes and displays the login page once more.

If I change the router it works fine..!! Can someone please help me out.
I'm not aware of any ports I need to open to allow webmail, certainly on the other routers ( Netgear, Dlink ) that work no particular ports are open.

    Thanks

It may be a problem with https sites. Check with the other router but you may find after you login it redirects to a https:// address. https runs (usually) over port 443 as opposed to 80 for normal web traffic. The router shouldn't really affect it, but it's worth a look.

I have the same problem with a Linksys router. Fiddled with ports without success. The only thing that worked (for hotmail at least) was to use internet explorer, close all other browsers and systems that would use internet (firefox, outlook, bittorrent etc.). Maybe that made certain ports available.

I've RMA'd the router back to Dynamode for testing so I wait with baited breath.

        Thanks for replies guys.
