    PS2 controllers with 'proper' triggers?

And by 'proper' I mean like those you'll find on the DC, XBox and XBox 360 controllers - analog triggers with plenty of movement in them rather than the default DualShock style. Something a bit better for racing games.

I'm sure I saw that Hori had something at Play Asia a while back and also on the recent 1UP show during the brief section at Q entertainment it looked like the controller in use had some full on triggers going, anyone have a clue which ones I could have seen?

is it not just the face buttons which are analogue on a regular dual shock??

Honestly not sure, I've heard conflicting things, some people say every button inc. the dpad is analogue..

The buttons certainly are (Square, Triangle etc) as some games have the 'Pressure Sensative' thing on the back of the box (where is says about memory card space needed etc).

The DS2's shoulder buttons are also pressure-sensitive. MGS3 makes good use of them when looking around corners etc.

I think the same thing applies to a moto gp game on the ps2.

I'm still waiting for a pad that maps the right analogue stick's vertical axis to analogue triggers so I can finally play some racing games on the PS2 without having to use a wheel (which I've no room for).
