    Play.com question

Hi, I recently ordered vf4 evo from play.com. Is there a way to track my order after it has been dispatched?
My account page just says "no current outstanding". the last thing it said before that was packing. Has my order just disappeared?

Go to the Outstanding Orders tab on the right hand side. It will be in there.

You can click on 'Previous orders', but they don't often give a tracking number (I've had one in 60 transactions).

Someone else in the PAL forum is waiting for Evo from Play also, so you are not alone.

When you log in, there's a menu on the right hand side - click on 'order history' & it should say when it shipped.

EDIT - severely beaten to it

          Try clicking on order history.

Play send stuff by cheap-o post, there's no way to track the actual delivery.

Not true. I had Resident Evil 0 from them and it turned up when I was out. I used the tracking facilty which told me it had been delivered to the local sorting office. Recorded Delivery.

I had a few games go missing in the last couple of months, which tends to only happen on stuff that doesn't need signing for.

Play use different postage depending (usually) on the value of the contents.

Really cheap stuff, like most sale items or DVDs that are less than a tenner go basic post, and its these that seem to go missing the most often.

Most new release stuff goes first class and seems to be reasonably reliable.

And expensive things like full price games or DVD box sets goes recorded and needs to be signed for.

If that's true, it's great news I wasn't gonna order from Play again after stuff went missing, but if they send full price games by recorded, I might be tempted.

Well, I've only ordered one expensive game myself; its mainly from things like whole series DVD boxes that I get recorded stuff from them.

If you've got the Recorded Delivery Tracking Number you should be able to track it as soon as it gets to a sorting office...which should be the next day at the latest.
