360 vga pgr problems

Hi all im running a vga lead at 1280x1024 and in game pgr runs in 16x9 even tho the menus and the 360 is set at 4x3 any ideas ?

You mean, it has boarders at the top and bottom? Some games are widescreen only.

no it runs in streched 4x3 the borders are missing

Are you referring to the races in particular? Because mine seems to have the same problem - outside of the races, all menus and other screens run in faux widescreen (with the borders) on my 4:3 monitor, but once the races start the game defaults to stretched 4:3, so it all looks really silly. Not sure if there's a way to rectify it though.
Back to saving up for that widescreen tv then

just that forget the tv there are too many unfinished faults on this game in saving up for a finished game

The only way to get this working with borders is by setting the resolution to 1024x768. I now have a widescreen tv but when I was still playing on my monitor I put it back to 1280x1024 after a while, 1024 looked less nice and after a while you get used to the stretched look anyway. A bad oversight by Bizarre though.

If you are using a CRT, compress the vertical height in the monitors settings. If you have a 4:3 LCD, you are boned.
