3rd party DS lite Charger blown up

got a JP Pink DSL for the misses and brought one of these 3rd party chargers from HMV...... needless to say it blew up, the DSL was fine and so was the misses...... Just wondering any idea's why it blew up? i thought you were able to use chargers from UK on JP machines ala PSP and original DS.

No ideas why it blew up but you're right; UK DS Lite chargers work fine with JPN DS Lites.

Sounds like the charger was faulty so worth taking it back to HMV.
