have you tried it on another 360? even if you haven't, just tell them you have (i wouldn't get into the whole 'i tried it on my pc' argument) and it's still buggered.

just outta curiosity, where are you lot getting this info regarding 3 months? i'm on their 'website' (if you can call a list of pics and a phone number a website. oh wait, you can!) and can't see any links or anything

They gave me some bull**** saying that it's an American product and that they can only honour 3 months guarantee.

        ohhhh

        BUT

aren't they supposed to tell you that kinda stuff *before* you buy? i know alot of places refer you to their TOC's, and we hardly ever read them, but they ARE there...

Exactly: they can't impose conditions retroactively.

You guys have been most helpful especially, anephric. As it stands now. I don't have a receipt but I do have proof from my online Smile statement to say that I bought this from CA Games on the 27th Feb this year. This is good enough from my experience as a games manager at CEX.
I am not wanting a refund at all, I just want a working DOA stick, preferably another new one 'cause I don't wanna wait around for my DOA stick to be repaired.
Also, ain't they suppose to be responsible for me shipping it back to them? It's gonna cost at least another tenner or so to send it back...
Oh, and what actions can I threaten them with if they don't play ball?

All you can really do is say that you'll report them to trading standards. It's not much of a threat but I imagine they won't want to deal with the hassle.

They ARE supposed to arrange (or at least pay) for return, and if you sent it the cheapest way (Royal Mail Parcels, insured) it prolly wouldn't cost more than ?6-7 each way. Not the best method, but prolly the cheapest.

Ask someone on this forum if they might be able to repair it for you. It might be a simpe loose connection in the circuit wiring.

I fixed it myself which is quite amazing of me as I'm ****e at fixing stuff...
I wiggled the wires a touch inside and it works fine now! MUHAHAHA

I was young, naive and there was a sore lack of gamecube games, there it was Doshin the Giant, the brand new release 1st party gamecube game AND IT COMES WITH A ?35 MEMORY CARD!

?70 to CA games, the rest is history.

If only I had the delorean

Yeah, get someone to sort the loose connection properly, or you'll look well weak mid-hadoken when it stops working.

"But my stick stopped working," you cry. You and half the middle-aged men in the world.
