    GBASP / DS / GC Connectivity.....Need answers!

    Hi there,

Got a few GC games now that can be connected to the GBA versions of the games, ie FF Crystal Chronicals, Pokemon etc. Now i've got the cable to connect the GC to a GBA and want to know if I buy a DS Lite and use one of those instead will it still work? And is the cable the same?

    Ta,
    Jei

The DS doesnt have that GBA multi-link port to connect with the cube - sorry for the bad news!

            I stand corrected.

            Where's that cable from?

I passed up on a micro cos I didn't think it'd work with Pacman VS, etc. I thought it was more than just the adaptor that caused connectivity problems. I might just need to get one now.

The cable was made by troz from the cheap ass gamer forums. By experementing he discovered you could indeed connect the micro to a gamecube.

He is sold out of the cables but if you can get the 2 cables to make it he will make it for a fee, or if your handy with a soldering iron you can make one yourself the instructions are here...

The cable is made from splicing a official nintendo micro link cable & a 3rd party gba to gc link cable.

Im guessing the reason nintendo didnt bother is because the probably thought there was no demand.

                Cheers for the link man.

I have a spare GC-GBA cable, so just to get a micro one and then persuade someone to do a bit of soldering for me.

Got myself a micro and wanted to know how easy it is to make one of these myself, as I've got a spare gc-gba cable and ordered a micro link cable.
