Neo Geo Motherboard / JAMMA Connection Question

I'm hoping to acquire myself a Neo Geo 4 slot cabinet in the next week or so & want to know how easy it is to play JAMMA boards in it. Do I need to buy an adaptor or rewire the insides or can I just plug it straight in...?
