I hope there is, but the much hated Core pack already covers the "cheap" 360 angle, surely?

The Core will probably be phased out before or soon after the Premium price drop happens

I reckon around xmas the shops will be flogging bundles where you get more stuff (old games, crap controllers, etc) but the individual consoles will stay the same. Maybe a drop after xmas? How long is it usually before a drop? A year doesn't seem very long, I'd say most people's reasons for not buying by that time are game releases not console price.

It's not even about low price though tbh, it's about competitive price.
Sub-?200 will always give off the stigma that it's too cheap. Assuming its not going to be sub-?200 any time soon (the Premium at least), is it really worth waiting? How much are you saving Vs. what you'll be playing?

If you don't buy one now you'll never be able to catch up with your gamerscore though.

Just get one, most of the other format games have dried up now and the 360 has a good few handful of quality titles

Personally, I would just go for it now. The hours of fun you'll have on it more than outweigh the saving that may be mad by waiting for any price cut.

God I never thought about that Although most of that score is going to depend on the arcade titles anyway.

Just want to clarify that it's not about me waiting for a price cut at all but about me being silly for wanting it right this minute and using the credit card. I do keep thinking of waiting for a magic deal to come along but you can wait forever for that.

To break even you'd have to rent it out for at least 28 weeks. Reading the 360 issues thread I'm not sure the average 360 lasts that long

.....come to think about it mine is about that old now. You don't fancy renting me one do you?

Well it was enough to add another stone to the "buy now" side of the scale. It would be nice not to have everyone else with a million points when I get the console

Well don't piss pants over the gamerscore too much, though it's nice in that each game has achievements which add to your gamerscore, so it gives you something extra to work towards when you'd otherwise have let the title get dusty. That's the real fun, the bragging rights get dull, obviously.

Blimey just get it mate - you don't even need to get games yet, there's plenty on the marketplace (and all demos and trailers are free).

So much stuff that MS really need to start offering larger HDs, preferably 100GB+.

I'd like to see the ability to plug an external hard drive in to the USB port and use it as download target. I've got a 250GB sitting about here.

I have 1GB left on my drive. Seriously. And it's all stuff I use, not stuff I really wanna delete (Start off with 13GB usable, 5GB for FFXI, 1GB DR demo, lots of E3 trailers and interviews etc...).

Need bigger drive NOW MS, the marketplace is only getting bigger.
