Well no, he was pointing out that you said you prefer PAL60 to NTSC, when RGB Scart uses neither (and would be identical on either a US or UK machine, assuming both are capable of RGB output which is usually the case).

The Wii is an unknown quantity at the moment unfortunately and as history shows, the above example may not work. So I guess my comments only ring true for PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox 360 etc.

Aslong as the US Wii works with RGB SCART, you will get colour. That is a guarantee.

did the US cube or PS2 support rgb scart? I'm not sure, this is why I prefer PAL consoles, especially with PAL60 now. thats the point I was trying to make , sorry.

The us cube only supported rgb via the component output, which involved a costly modded cable to get right. I believe all ps2s support rgb.

You were saying PAL60, but I think you mean RGB@60Hz which is why there's some confusion above.

hah, I'm not sure anymore, all I know is that I need a scart cable for any of my NTSC consoles to produce colour, using the composite cables will produce black and white.

                yeah:
composite and svideo from ntsc console = ntsc
compositie and svideo from pal console = pal50 (or pal60 if supported)
rgb enabled scart from ntsc console = rgb@60hz
rgb enabled scart from pal console = rgb@50hz (normally)
The last two have nothing to do with pal or ntsc!

TVs that support rgb will display either 50 or 60 versions, but will not necessarily (like in your case) support ntsc signals.
