    Xbox Live Payment Problems

    I have recently been billed ?4.99 for a months Live Service.

    The problem is that i did not request it.

    Last month (10th July) I purchased a Months Subscribtion to Live (as i am not at home much so do not get much time to go on it)

    I have checked my bank statement online and noticed that Microsoft have taken ?4.99 out on the 15th August, yet i did not ask for another Month.

    I have contacted Microsoft through the Xbox Website to try and sort out the matter as i do not want it happening every month.

    Anyone else had this problem?

    Yep , I did the exact same. I thought I had purchased one month of play , but it seems you end up subscribing to a monthly billing cycle. ><

      I had this happen too, and just after I'd bought a new 12 month subscription card. It is my/our/your fault, they do tell you about this is the T's&C's, and email you to the address you gave them to let you know it's going to happen before it does...

      However, I rang MS xbox live support, and got on the phone with a very nice guy who cancelled my subscription and refunded me the ?49.99 (even though I'd already had nearly a month's worth free), so I could then use my sub card to resubscribe. Obviously this won't work every time, but it's worth giving them a call.

        Cheers for the advise Psyduck.

        Gave them a bell on my lunch break, and had a nice fellah who cancelled my subscribtion.

        I've heard nothing but good things about Microsoft's Customer Service department, and i can now vouch for it myself.
