    Decent TV aerial. (indoor)

Hi, can anyone recommend to me a decent indoor tv aerial please, the last one i bought was a philips plug in one thinking it would be great but it was absolute trash. Anyone use one in the bedroom or something that gives a good picture? Thank you.

Bumpage. I need a good aerial too. Currently have an all for one job I got from argos but I'm sick of having to move it all the time to get a picture. Don't mind if it's powered or not as long as it will work. A small form factor would be good but probably impossible.

Oddly enough I'd quite like to know this too. Have a USB freeview adapter that works fine but I get ****ty reception indoors. Would like to try a decent indoor aerial before going so far as install an external one.

I think I might have the philips plug in one you mention. Big round sattalite looking thing?

I bought it of amazon and people were talking highly of it but it's actually quite dirt. You would think if it plug's in it would be surperior but no. I'm gona whack a booster on to it soon.

Gonnna give this one the bumpage again. I've currently got a one for all powered loop effort from Argos but it's driving me mental moving it around to get coverage for BBC then moving it again for ITV/C4, although to be fair once moved the reception and picture are both good .

Ideally I'd like a big, flat one to hide behind my 26" LCD.

Also what's the deal with power and amplification? I did a quick test unplugging my current aerial and couldn't get signal. However, when it is plugged in the dial is set very low so the light does not come on, turning it up has a negative effect on the signal.

          Any help would be appreciated.

It's possible it's a cheap amplifier and the signal so weak that the noise from the amplifier is drowning out the signal. On the lowest setting it's probably not amplifying much but still doing some minor filtering.

It works fine in my cruddy flat which gets next to no freeview reception anyways randicoot

it's far from being the prettiest aerial, but it works when around 3 others got nothing

I use a metal hanger bent into shape. Sounds ridiculous, most likely dodgy but it works better than the two ariels I had before.

Since I last posted, we now have ariel points in all bedrooms. Perfect picture ahoy!
