    Broken 360 controller?

    I bought a wireless controller off someone on the forum and just tried it, only to find it's not working. It powers up fine but the system doesn't recognise it and the guide button just flashes constantly. I tried the battery pack from my other pad and I get the same result, so it's not that...

    The pad is brand new, but it's an Asian one and my system is Japanese. Are these things region-locked or something?!

    Have you pushed the sync buttons? There's one on the machine and one on the pad.

    They're definitely not region locked, I use the one from my PAL unit on my JPN machine as well.
