Xbox Live/Router/Modem problem

Recently whilst playing Texas Hold em a problem that ive noticed for a while but ignored has become glaringly apprent. Randomly my internet connection will die only for it to be completely fine a few seconds later.
Im pretty sure my 360 is fine since im confident ive had this problem for a while but its less apparent when your browsing the net and reading. Its come to the fore because when the connection does bork you get kicked out of a game on texas hold em.
Any ideas?


Im on 4meg telewest broadband
Motorola Surfboard sb4100 modem
Linksys befsr81 router
My ips and dns server adresses are obtained automatically.
Also when i test my xbox live connection when the connection dies i get the ICMP failed message.

dude I know this isnt an answer so soz for going off topic,but I been palying online from the early evening without a problem,downloaded texas hold em and now my box is borked
It just fails to play any game with no ring of death or anything just a screen freeze (****!!!)or coincidence?
