Urgent help needed corrupt gamertag

Just turned my 360 on and my gamertag is corrupt I tried the recover option and it says if I accecpt it it will delete all my games !!!!!!!

If i remove my memory card that has my main saves on and save it to my HD will that allow me to keep my save games ???

thanks was going to call them and bitch about the fact that my rr6 and doa4 savegames will be lost im begining to hate this 360
