    Xbox 360 and 480p

Sorry if this is a dumb question but can Xbox 360 play all games and DVDs at 480p via component?

    Many thanks,

If your TV can accept it though, I would recommend running in 720p, even if your set is 480p native. 99% of the games are scaled rather than actually running in 480p, and the 360's scaler is worse than any display's that I've used. (basically you lose some detail and things look softer compared to running in 720p and letting the display deal with it)

Also, if you are using it for DVDs, make sure you hook it up online and get the update for the dashboard, otherwise it is pants for DVDs.

Personally, should I ever use it for DVDs I would prefer the sound not to go out of sync after 5 minutes.

              The update is essential.

It's great for DVD's after the update, excellent upscaling player.

Edit: only upscales over VGA though.
