    Shift (JIS) encoding

Got a bit of a problem. Recently I set my browser (in IE) to shift (JIS) code to look at a FAQ on gamefaqs. I changed it back to Western European (ISO) when I was done and all seemed alright. Yet whenever I come on NTSC-UK it goes back to Shift (JIS) and it does that everytime I move around to different pages on the site. It doesn't seem to be doing it anywhere else that i've noticed, just here. And although I constatly change it back to ISO, it'll change itself back to JIS. Anyone happen to know how I could fix this, it's a pain in the arse.

I have had a look and cant see what could be wrong, but I would just recommend installing Firefox. Much better brower then IE.

Heh, had a feeling i'd get someone telling me to use firefox. To be honest i'd rather stick with IE though, i'm used to it and all. Maybe it's time to change though, i'll give firefox another go.

If you create problems for yourself in IE, you'll create problems in firefox too. Switching browsers isn't going to help you in the long run.

Have you tried turning on auto-select in the encoding menu? (or turning it off).

Auto-select does the job, cheers charlesr.
