    LCD stuck pixel help

I did a search and could only find stuck pixel issues relating to either the PSP or the Nintendo DS.

I got my samsung tv and there's one stuck pixel.

I tried to do this http://www.wikihow.com/Fix-a-Stuck-P...an-LCD-Monitor but it's still stuck.

I'm gonna phone Samsung tomorrow but i think i read somewhere that you can have a tv repaired or replaced if there's ten plus dead/stuck pixels.

Anyone know how to get rid of a stuck pixel on a Samsung LCD?

I got a Samsung LCD last year and was disappointed to find that it had some stuck pixels (3 or 4 I think).

I tried the massaging thing, and playing a video with flashing colours, but it's all bollocks imo. It didn't help me anyway.

As far as I'm aware, most manufacturers call stuck pixels a 'feature' of LCD technology, and won't repair / replace your set unless you have a loads of them (or a number of them clustered together in a small area).

One stuck pixel is annoying, but it could be worse

That was Sony's official position on the PSP screen. Things are different between the handheld console and monitor/TV screens, however. On the monitor booklet you should see which class is your panel. Based on this and the number, position and density of dead/struck/burnt pixels, you can go where you bought the monitor and ask for a change. Well, that's how it goes in Italy, though I always felt that even a single dead pixel in a corner gives you the right to exchange the monitor.

There's loads of things like this. I tried one (not that one), but it didnt work, but lots of people report success. Worth a try. You need to turn off you screen saver and monitor power down though and leave it overnight or longer.

troof. if it's a lit pixel or a 'bright' pixel they'll replace it... if it's a dark pixel then they'll refuse a replacement unless there's a group of at least 3 together onscreen. i think i have the details somewhere, i'll copy and paste.

Hmm, looks like I could have asked for a replacement then. I've got two or three bright pixels on my tv.

              Bugger!
