Screen burn

I got my new telly on sunday, and i've managed to screen burn the shinobi bar on the saturn on the top of my new set

I've got insurance, but can anyone tell me if i'm covered..or am i to shell out already, i'm so pissed off, i turned down contrast e.t.c e.t.c, i guess it didn't like the top screen bar (plus i've like played it for 14 hours the last two days.)

Anyone help, really really appreciated.

Does your TV not have a screen wipe function? I did the exact same thing with the energy bar on Ninety Nine Nights the other day, left the screen wipe on for about 30mins today and it's gone.

Leave it on a snow channel (de tuned channel) overnight.

I'm not sure what the screen wipe is, i can't find it on my tv will try leaving it on a detuned channel, That help then? Thank you both

Someone at AV pointed me out to the screen burn protection, i'm running it now, but the burn looks pretty deep/black (i don't understand how it is) anyone know the chances of this working?

I thought screen burn was all but gone now?

What telly out of interest and how long did you leave it on?

Its a Samsung 50" from the q7 series.

The image was from top left to top right, the screen wash seems to have cleared the images to the right, but it isn't touching the player and energy bar on the left, maybe it will if i give it long enough?

I played it about 7 hours yesterday and 7 today (roughly) without really a break, i know, i'm stupid.
